They could not see Him

Under the yoke of oppression
praying for their Savior,
the Messiah foretold in scripture,
our risen Lord…
 
But they could not see Him,
this humble Servant,
they wanted freedom from Rome,
He brought them freedom from Sin…
 
His own did not know Him,
the Messiah before them.
they wanted a Warrior,
God sent them a Son…
 
Humbly He fulfilled all scripture,
every prophecy about Him,
He brought salvation
through His blood on the cross…
