steps forward that I #fear #confession #repentance #forgiveness

stepping forward timidly
with fear and trepidation
not going forward confidently
trusting, at peace within myself…
 
steps forward that I fear
tearing off my body armor
exposed naked to the world
truth of my transgressions…
 
my sin is ever before me,
pain caused by others,
a yoke, a cudgel placed upon me,
fettering my life, my walk….
 
steps forward that I fear
the path God has placed before m,
steps on the journey, reconciliation,
for my neighbors, my God,
and for myself…
