God forgives us
God forgave us
through the blood of Jesus
a sin-sacrifice, payment,
for a debt we could not pay…
Christ too was a
peace offering
a means of our reconciliation
God offered us Jesus
to bring us into communion,
to bring us to Himself…
Peace through
His blood
the willing sacrifice of Jesus
God choosing to descend, to die,
to bear the Father’s wrath
for a debt we could never pay…
Every sin a
capital offense
demanding judgment
the wrath of God kindled,
needing to be paid
for us to live in freedom…
Christ chose to
descend
to teach, to serve, to sacrifice,
to submit to God’s judgment
Christ bore the wrath of God
for us to live risen…
God forgave us
