fissures, an earthquake
like a windshield cracked
ripples on a pond...
never-ending, endless...
 
an explosion, shrapnel,
carried into the future...
abuse a cancer
planted in our souls...
 
needing light, love,
hope, disinfectant,
letting air into
every open wound...
 
only in transparency,
in being brutally honest...
poison wicked of power...
Only then can we be healed...
