Christ is the testimony
the good news of life
the testimony of our God
sending us his Son

The witness of God
speaking the Christ
the testimony of life
life within his life

The witness of God

We have life
when Christ is within
beating in our hearts
we go forth, to be the light
to share God’s love

Do not worry
focus on your mission
my calling to you
to go into the world

It is not for you to know
the purpose of God
the time of his choosing
when he will restore the kingdom

The Spirit will guide you
God will be your protector
as you bear my witness
my message to the world

We are to be working
to be faithful ever
do not fear the future
trust in the Lord

The gift my Father promised
the Spirit soon will be with you
abiding in you richly
saving you from harm

The work of salvation finished
what Christ was tasked to do

to his place in victory

God’s kingdom is for all

God’s kingdom not for the few
not one people, one nation
for all the people on earth
God’s kingdom is for all

We are the witnesses
the believers through the ages
sent by the risen Christ
to be his hands and feet

To share the same message
gifted by the same Spirit
the Holy Spirit guiding our steps
out into God’s world
