Urughart – v3

The ancient ruins of red brick and stone
just above the surface of Loch Ness;
I stared out into the mist, the history,
the fog hanging over the water.
I walk down to the shore, by the edge of the Loch;
I was drawn back in time, my own history.

She was out there, but invisible to me;
I sensed her presence, the movement of the legend,
hidden in the fog, of time, of nature,
the peated deep, hiding secrets still, beyond
the enlightened “reality” of science.

How sad for us all.
