you overshadow us

you, oh Lord, your presence

the feeling of you with us

filling our hearts

descended from heaven

walking here on earth

you overshadow us

like a blanket, a feeling

a knowing you are with us

in this walk, to lead, to guide us

to keep us from harm

Not only in the joys

but in our sorrows

in the in between

between the darkness and light

God is ever with us

walking day to day

God will never leave us

alone on the way

Not only in our joys

but in the sorrows

our struggles in this life

God is by our side

your love overshadows us – v2

your loving presence palpable

your love overshadows us

as the Spirit did Mary

like a great cloud

that fell on Moses

embracing our lives

God falling down

descending from heaven

palpable upon us

a presence, yet not heavy,

feeling you with us

in this walk of faith
