Slide, fall
into the realm
the inky stillness
after restless days
Wake, fitfully
Scraps of memory
or Technicolor show
Prescience sometimes
Of future conversations,
Experience yet to come
Not déjà vu exactly,
But waking foreknowledge
of meaningless drivel
Allegory, metaphor
Passion, smells
a lost smile
or disjointed drama
Different for each
Shards or chapter and verse
