She sits, still, quiet
head bowed
and hands clasped
in morning prayer
starting her days
before the din and motion
when the three awake
she sits humbly
reverently
you can see it
truly you can
a practiced solemn
a peaceful centering
drawing strength
into her
bringing you into her spirit
quieting herself
to start each day
with God
