Crèches

Our house, our home
blessed with more than one
a glass crèche, a solemn crèche,
a crèche of clay
waiting for the Christ child
on Christmas Day
Reminders, representations
of the holy story
of his holy birth
the parents, the animals,
the wise men, the shepherds
the star in the heavens
and the change here on earth
by the glory of his birth
