Some much meaning
layers of meaning
in the words of a fruitless fig
bearing fruit in the minds
of the readers, the saints
over the millennia,
those who followed
the earliest listeners,
those who heard his words
his parable for them
for us too
a harvest of fruits
in the learning, the study
the unraveling of
the mystery of parable
for each one a journey
bearing fruits
all along the way
