He was forever changed,
the weight of the dove, the spirit of God
resting upon him, still upon him
its impression visible, transforming
as he walked the shore, as he called the brothers,
the brothers in labor, in ministry to come
the fishermen, James and John,
Andrew and Simon, the rock
Before the ministry, before the transfiguration
at the very start, his life changed
with the weight of the dove upon him
