Pick up the towel,
become the servant,
as the Master did so long ago
washing the discples’ feet
taking off his robe,
humbling himself
bowing low before them,
cleaning the dust, the dirt
setting our example
of holy servanthood
We are to pick up the towel
put it around our waist
continue his ministry
his work here on earth
as a servant
