I wait, as the psalmist did
for the guidance of the Lord,
for his provision, for his will
to be made known to me
To be guided by his strong hand,
his still small voice
echoing through the world,
meeting me where I sit,
where I stand, to guide my feet
my hands, my voice, my pen
to proclaim his goodness,
his love, to do his justice
to walk humbly with God
