(In the Crowd)
Like a conquering king, or Roman general
Jesus entered David’s city
our chosen one
Watching the parade
we cheered the new king,
crying Hosanna!
But he was on a donkey,
even as we hoped
for a new king, to throw off
the Emperor’s yoke;
is he the one?
