A message of hope

the power of the name of Christ
a message of hope, for us all
healed by his name alone
no hands laid upon him
merely the intoning,
calling Christ now
to be present, to
heal in his name

a message of hope
in this story
of laity, calling on his name
in faith, believing in his authority
and acting on that faith
able to go, as we have been sent
to heal in Christ’s holy name

Call to Worship:
Let us praise God, the creator of heaven and Earth.
Let us seek God with open minds and open hearts.
May we feel the Holy spirit among us.
As the Scriptures are read and the Word proclaimed,
as prayers and music are offered, may we receive with
joy and thanksgiving what is offered for us.
Unison Prayer:
Almighty God, to you all hearts are open, all
desires known, and from you no secrets are
hidden. Cleanse the thoughts of our hearts by the
inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that we may love
you with our whole self, and worthily praise your
holy name. Through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Prayer of Dedication:
Loving God, the giver of all that is good; our lives
are blessed daily by your gifts. Help us to receive
your gifts with such gratitude, that we will be giving,
as you are to us. We pray that through us the whole
world will know the gift of your generous love in
Jesus Christ, the one who gave his life for us, and for
the whole world.
