Down to the River

A ribbon of faith,
a living stream,
like the water
we walked, singing
down to the river

A community, happy
new members joining
being baptized in the waters
into the faith
into the family

Spirit washing over them
made new, brothers and sisters
with us, with Christ
changed forever
