Killing His People

The leaders responsible
for those acting in their names
failing to care for
to love their own people

Killing His people
as if pulling the trigger
holding onto power
at the cost of his nation

The world must stand up
speak with one voice
to love one another
that is the only choice

The region changing
right before our eyes
the sovereignty of the tyrants
must not be a stumbling block
must not turn us aside

Right over might
freedom from the people
love for our neighbors
as we are called to share

Standing against the despots
killing their own people
joining with those crying
for the martyrs in the street
