Watching in horror
the madman on the balcony
rambling on incessantly
of who would be executed
who would be killed
for speaking out in freedom
Blind to his rage
his tone too strident
willing to die in flames
than relinquish his power
Someone must step in
to take him from the stage
to give his people life
and put him in a cage
No hope in his countenance
that he could be reasoned with
only to be sent away
that his people may live
