Hard for them to fathom
the transformation in him
after the landing of the dove
rising from the water
The time in the desert
in fasting and temptation
tested to his limits
but ready for ministry
Preaching in his hometown
speaking with power
claiming the name of servant
in the reading of the scripture
Taking on the mantle
claiming his holy name
going forth in service
fulfilling God’s holy plan
