The loss of Christ
the death of our Savior
bound in the sharing
each time coming to the table
The supper he consecrated
the sacrament of the table
the breaking of his body
and the drinking of the cup
The cup of salvation
but the bitterness of the garden
that moment when Christ submitted
to the plan of the Father
All for the birthing
the forgiveness of our sin
healed by his rising
and the Helper within
The Spirit guiding us
until our Savior’s return
reminding us ever
of the price he paid for our sin
