Through the way of the cross
the gate of the Christ
through the curtain of belief
we have new life
Taking up our cross
following Christ
serving as an example
of the kingdom, new life
Nothing of our past
the way of the flesh
consumed and forgotten
all in the past
Something of Christ
in all we say and do
if we are worthy to claim him
to speak of his word
