The water the same
the challenge just as real
winds still blowing
over the face of the deep
The earth so like the void
the hand of God, His breath
His voice still calling
come, follow me
To walk on solid water
given substance by our faith
believing it will hold us
by trusting in our God
Following Christ’s calling
the words of the indwelling Spirit
walking humbly ever
sharing the message of God

Like Peter, you and I
we can walk on water
trusting in Christ
our eyes ever on him
ignoring the winds all around
reaching ever for him
going where he calls us
longing to walk
in the footsteps of Christ
in the way of the disciples;
needing to climb over the gunnels
to live by our faith
to stand on solid water
