We should be joyful
all the days of our lives
redeemed by Christ’s sacrifice
gathered from the lost
Thankful for what we have been given
the keys to paradise
each given a path to life
walking in the way of the cross
Not pining for other gifts
aware of the grace of God
wanting only what we have
the outpouring of God’s love
Happy for all the others
for their own gifts from God
joyful for each one who believes
like us sheep that once were lost
