(a retelling of the 23rd Psalm)
God is my loving parent
I don’t have to fulfill my needs
You sing me lullabies
you woo me to peace, to sleep.
You refresh my troubled spirit;
In keeping with your promises,
You show me how to walk with God.
Though I am sometimes afraid,
I feel safe, when I hold your hand.
Your arms and your voice
they give me inner peace.
You make a harvest dinner,
before those who would hurt me.
You pour a blessing upon me;
My joy cannot be contained.
Your Goodness, Your Care pursue me
every moment of my life.
I shall live with my loving parent
all the days of my life.
