Cookie Commandos

Coming at us at work
as we enter or leave Wal-Mart,
these young warriors
smelling of mint, of youth
Mercenaries in the consumer wars
only pennies for their work
tempting us with memory
the high cost of the products
the cookies, their other treats
lulling us in to support them
when they get pennies for their work
