just one hour on Sunday

we seek an inoculation
a weekly prescription
just one hour on Sunday
to stanch the bleeding

But we carry an incurable disease
a cancer, the sin within our being
that which we commit
our estrangement from God

we need solution
a permanent replacement
given new heart, a new life
when we put on Jesus
