not several anguished hours
a play worthy of
repeating
gathering my senses
Hanging on my cross
Dismas, my arms hurting,
thinking about the grace
of God
and the words Christ
spoke to me
How would I have reacted
sharing a conversation
with God
seeking to unravel
the meaning of Christ’s
words
Would I have cried out
my pain overwhelming
would I have known such
joy
in the fruits of Christ’s
blessing

This
