Fighting Our Yoke

Standing next to our brother
yet rebelling, turning
fighting our yoke
not taking up our cross
not doing the work of Christ

Living, in the world
all of our days broken
not yielding to our Savior
going our own way

Needing to yield, to return
going as a servant
out into the world
humbly submitting our will
to the Master’s plan

nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
