of the resurrection of Jesus
grace of the Father
of our Creator, our God
spoken by the disciples
in words they didn’t know
in their mother tongues,
for the people
for the whole world to glow
a fire on Pentecost
words of love, of power
poured out, beginning
the wildfire, the church
alive, here with us
the Spirit abiding
life in the story
in that great fire
