Leaving Jerusalem,
unfaithful
not believing the promise
of Christ
the words of the women
of the empty tomb of
Jesus;
only believing the victory
of death
On the road, because they
did not believe
walking toward home, in
despair;
Rescued by the risen
Christ
strangely warmed in the breaking
of the bread
Christ’s life poured out
for us
