her love so urgent
savage, important
this woman of ill repute
the town harlot
she took a chance
because Jesus was worth it
more precious than here life
anything she could give
only to see Jesus
to offer him something
perfume to sooth his feet
the joy that she felt
barging in, uninvited
washing his feet
her tears the basin,
drying them with her hair
all she could give
all she had
offered to Jesus
extravagant love offered
her life to him
