Lovingly, working the
imperfections
the bubbles, the things that
don’t belong
refining, molding, changing
The clay from the earth,
seeing a vision
of what is to be, what it is
to become
starting anew, the Potter at
the wheel
Reshaping, touching the clay
His hands guiding, the dance
of creation
the vessel forming, turning,
pulled upward
becoming itself, what was
hidden within
Glazed, fired, given the
quickening of life
the breath of the Potter
onto, into the clay
the shine of the finish,
reflecting His face
each complete, in the image
of God
