only through sacrifice, through mercy
through the cleansing
blood
through unending love
we are washed,
we are made clean
we rise from the waters
to the waves that bury us
we are redeemed, alive
as reborn, living
creatures
friends of the Son
only through sacrifice,
through mercy
through adoption at the
cross
we become children of the
Father
of God above, the Creator
siblings of the one who
washed us clean
