Looking back on this night in hindsight
His lesson so powerful, the
servant
Christ still washed all of
our feet
though He knew what was to
come
how each of us reacted
the Betrayer, the Denier,
the lost
all of us running in the
night
Jesus loved us enough, the
servant
kneeling low before us all,
one by one,
washing the feet of Judas,
of Peter,
of each of us who failed Him
who ran in His time of need,
of struggle
on His way to the cross, the
skull
Christ still washed all of
our feet
showing us the Father, His
mercy,
praying over all of us,
protection
for the work that was to come
