abiding in iniquity

rejecting Your calling
to holiness, to purity,
to cleaving to Your way
our Creator and our Lord…
 
abiding in iniquity
even as we seek to follow
condemned in our flesh
while we long to be free…
 
reach down, lift us,
setting us on the waves
save us from drowning,
lost in this evil world…
