The sins of a hundred billion – v2

Christ died for all of us
the sins of a hundred billion,
all who have ever lived
since the dawn of creation.

You made us Lord
to walk with us;
You sent your Son
to offer us love.

Christ died for all of us
the sins of a hundred billion,
taking on our shame
that we may walk with You.

why do I matter

I join the psalmist, David,
this is beyond my comprehension
why the Creator of the universe
would care about me
why do I matter, to you, o God,
why do we have this love letter
written by your hand
How can I thank you
what can I give
this gift beyond measure
because of you, I am,
because of you, I live.

where demons dwell – v3

may demons have nowhere to hide
no heart to make a purchase
make the soil be held
in the loving arms of God

shine your light, brighter,
changing the shade, the color,
the path of the journey
the trajectory, the motion

bring your light, stronger,
into this darkness, this evil
into these shadow lands
where demons dwell

tearing them from the fabric
rip them from the ground
root them out roughly
no rest for them

no place for hiding, silent,
buried within hearts
tear them out fully
before they are torn apart
