Share this message (2) – v3

Share this message
the Easter story;
Christ is risen
from the dead

Time beginning
in the telling;
Christ is risen
from the dead

Life restarted
time is reborn;
Christ is risen
from the dead

We live salvation
life forever;
Christ is risen
from the dead

The shadow the same – v4

the cloth may be different
the black of sorrow
of Friday, of Saturday,
white for the resurrection
of Easter morning
fabric hanging upon the cross
in front of the church

the fabric may be different
but the shadow the same
the choice, the cross,
to follow His example
in humble submission,
to give completely
in the service of God

the light projecting
into the community
sharing the shadow
the continuing mission;
Christ’s example
the cross, the light,
the love of God.

The shadow the same – v3

the color of the cloth may differ
black of sorrow, of Friday, of Saturday
removed with the coming of morning;
white for the resurrection
upon the cross
before the church.

the color may be different,
but the shadow the same
the choice, the cross,
to follow His example;
in humble submission,
to give completely
in the service of God.

sharing the shadow
the continuing mission
to bear our own witness;
Christ’s example
the cross, the light,
the love of God.

In the Upper Room – 2 – v2

We are there with Jesus
with the first disciples
entering in, the door open,
to be with them
in the upper room;
Watching Jesus
taking off His outer garments
bowing down to serve
to wash their dusty feet

We are watching Jesus
after He had finished
the host of the feast,
the Passover meal;
Saying words different
not those long repeated
the Passover Seder,
the bread, the cup,
His sacrifice for us
