centering in your spirit,
being at peace to awaken,
beauty all around you,
A new day just begun…
 
Be at peace within yourself,
within your spirit, your body,
empty yourself of everything,
still yourself each morning,
Be at peace, at rest…
 
Let your heart be at peace,
empty your mind of chaos,
breathe in the morning,
still yourself in this peace
That is beyond all understanding…

In this silence, in these moments – v2

In this silence, in these moments,
we must listen to our own breathing,
finding peace in each moment,
in whatever we are facing,
finding a place of peace,
a moment of rest, stillness,
We must center within ourselves,
hearing our every breath…
 
In this silence, in these moments,
we must stay centered, balanced,
grounded in each season, on the path,
focused on this present, here and now,
Breathing, seeing, stilling our spirits,
against the chaos, all other voices
seeking to draw our attention
to separate us from ourselves…
 
In this silence, in these moments,
we must live in this moment,
present in the present, this now,
within our own skin, our bodies,
our living flesh, listening to the rhythms,
to our own heartbeats, our pulse,
Sounds of our own breathing,
focusing on nothing else...
 
In this silence, in these moments,
we must not seek grandeur, outsized
calling or purpose, focus on the small,
our own center, our living, breathing,
each moment, every step before us,
Grounded in our moments, present,
living in this present, this journey,
for the sake of ourselves…

Within our own skin – v3

We must stay centered, balanced,
grounded in each season, on the path,
focused on this present, here and now,

that moment of anticipation
crossing the plane of the dunes,
the sand, the swaying grasses
 
sensing the waves, the water,
before I even hear them
drawn to each sunrise
to our place of peace

watching her steps before sunrise
crossing the plane of the dunes
stepping out onto the sand
as she was returning home.
 
walking with her toward the water
in anticipation, looking to the sky,
the orange ball rising,
all was right in our world…

diving in, open

becoming one with it

sharing its essence

its life force, power

drinking the water

sharing with it, becoming

melted, molded, woven

your life, your story

the journey it is taking

becoming a portion, a droplet

a part of the vast ocean

a stop on its sojourn

the water abiding

while it walks with us
