afraid of change – v4
By
their actions, their inaction
their
sense of comfort in the present
they
are exposed, the state of their thinking;
They
are afraid of change
of
an unknown future
but
change is coming;
They
are happy as things are
though
things are quickly changing
the
ground beneath them is shifting
as
if they were standing on sinking sand
By
their actions, their inaction
their
sense of comfort in the present
it
has become obvious, conclusive;
they
are afraid of change
of
purposeful action;
But
they are blind to the movement
they
do not see the loss of sand
with
each tide turning,
that
change is already coming
and
it is growing ever stronger

They
are afraid of change
of
an unknown future
but
change is coming;
They
are happy as things are
though
they are changing
the
ground beneath them is shifting
as
if they were standing on sinking sand
They
are afraid of change
of
purposeful action;
But
they are blind to the movement
they
