the harvest is plentiful – v3

arise, be ready,
workers, reapers,
the fields are full
God’s people ready
waiting for harvest
for the gathering in

the fields are alive
bright with fall colors
the harvest is plentiful
but the workers are few;
too many waiting
for the harvest to come

so many searching, seeking
ready for God’s message
the fields bursting with color
grain ripe for the harvest
souls, hearts, yearning;
but no workers in sight

arise, workers,
going into the fields,
the vineyards, the groves,
so many ready, waiting,
the harvest is plentiful,
oh reap them in

send the workers – v3

Send the workers
into the fields, the vineyards
to gather the harvest.
The wheat is ready to be gathered
to be brought into the harvest home

Go out there
into the fields
into the vineyards.
The fruit is ripe, ready
ready for the harvest home.

Do not linger
the fields are ripe
the fruit is ready.
Go where Christ has led
to gather the harvest home.

Gather in the harvest
the wheat is ready
the vines are full.
The fields are ripe
ready for the harvest home.

Go other there
into the fields
into the vineyards.
The fruit is ready
for the harvest home.

back-breaking work – v2

God sends workers
into the field, the harvest;
we are to be the workers
in this time and place
serving where God has led

back-breaking work
but so worth the effort
the harvest worthy
for the table, the feast,
the banquet to come
in the courts of heaven

the fruit ready, ripe,
out in the fields, the vineyards
back-breaking work
for the harvest is plentiful
the workers are few
those committed to Jesus
those seeking to bring in
the harvest home
