Bread from the baker,
the sustainer God,
ready when needed
spoiling when saved
This time is a test
another test for the congregation
to rely on, to trust in,
to believe that it is God’s hand
that provides the needed funds,
the hands to do the work,
the feet to the faithful
Words to sway the status quo
to move us past, beyond
inertia, to get up,
and go out there
in mission and ministry
