Prophesy! Prophesy! they shouted
for the Lord to speak from the cross
to change his fate, to bring the kingdom
in that time and place
But they didn’t know the plans of the Lord
to split the curtain and change the world evermore
to move with the spirit to alter time
to grant salvation one soul at a time
to give grace to all, not some select breed
to love one another and to answer his call
So their shouts forgot the words of old
and the unfolding of the prophesies
that were already foretold
His life was a lesson in reading the Word
and to look for the spirit within the written word
