The scripture, the message to the church
to each disciple, then and now,
the words of the apostle,
calling each of us
making a choice
A choice to follow the world
to find fulfillment in its standards
Or to say as Joshua said,
aligning our lives
to the service of God
to the will of the father
over the desires of his self
To love our neighbors
selfless service as our guide
to share the good news
our brother at our side
