A long list spoken
all of our prayers lifted
offered to you by the pastor
at the altar rail
So many prayers
each one so personal
shared by the congregation
in worship today
Offered to the creator
the savior, the spirit
brought forward, raised up
in humble praise
Given for sharing
our neighbors beside us
Raised in the sanctuary
to ease each other’s pain
Continuing our sharing
in conversation after worship
tending the sheep
fellow members of your flock
All of us walking
burdens we carry
Happy to share them
with our family this day
