Rebutting His Petition

In the heavenly courts,
in the mighty whirlwind
God, filing his objection
rebutting the petition of Job,
supporting his claims at the bar

Rather than answering,
the claims of the righteous
Responding instead
with the proof of his claim

Job had no standing
to question the master
so far below him
did he and we dwell

In the court of the Father
the throne room there seated
the chatter of humans
must sound like mice
