A question the world cannot answer
blind to a different measure, a calling
from deep within our hearts
a stirring, the still small voice speaking
words they cannot understand
Discerning, the calling of God
the nature of our path, our cross
gifts we have been given
for the service of the Lord
Discerning, through the eyes of faith alone
a far different measure
like the fishermen, Peter, James and John
heeding a different master
when they left their nets, their lives
to travel with the carpenter
fishers of men instead
