The thick outer garment
the shroud of our humanity
tied to the things of this earth
walking, burdened, heavy laden
so much to carry, day to day
Leaving the weight
the cares and struggles
approaching your cross, your throne
the mantle of the savior
the offering of the son
lifting our burden
so that we may soar
