Their big sister, far down the sidewalk
walking purposely around the church
Slightly slower, noticing the bright red
the sugar maple, the azure sky,
the cross of the steeple shining gold
in the morning light
Saying good morning to the blue moon
radiant still in the early morning
not yet lost its luster to the sun
Shimmering white, darker too
not yet ready to leave the sky
