A call, a challenge
a truth about this place
continuing our worship
beyond this time and space
Doing the work of a Christian
caring for our neighbors
both near and very far
simple acts of service
out of love for the Lord
Serving in this time
in this place, doing what we can
offering a helping hand
a smile, hope, a bit of bread
to all our brothers, our sisters
our hands, our hearts open
to their cries, their needs
in simple acts of love
